mentorship |
hone your craft.
If you're a yoga teacher and feel like you need guidance, encouragement, feedback, and direction with your teaching, you'll benefit from mentorship. Even after the best teacher training programs, new teachers can feel as if they're floundering or don't know how to get their feet in the door, build a community of regular students, and hone in on their unique teaching style. A 200-hour is not the end of your training; it is just the beginning.
When you're fresh out of a 200-hour training, it's common to feel anxious about auditions, unsure about sequences, confused about anatomy, overwhelmed by making playlists, and lost when it comes to hands-on assists. As a result, many new teachers pay thousands of dollars to take the next level of training available, hoping more knowledge will translate to skill.
The best training you get as a teacher is standing in front of a room full of students. A mentorship can be one of the most beneficial and valuable ways to develop yourself as a teacher. You'll receive direct feedback, assistance, and support from an experienced teacher you trust.
If you've taken my classes and feel I'd be a good fit as a mentor, know that this isn't a Me-Way-Up-Here, You-Way-Down-Here situation. I see you within me. When I first started teaching I couldn't eat for days before a class because I was so anxious. I'd take any opportunity to get a sub or cancel. My first year of teaching was pretty rough, and I wish I had someone close to me to lean on for support.

• Teach your new sequence to a class and myself to receive constructive feedback
• Learn how to market and boost your income as a teacher
• Be able to call, text, or email me for questions, support, or assistance not only during this mentorship, but indefinitely
• Receive a personalized letter of recommendation upon completion that you can send with teaching applications
